Raleigh, NC.  Technical Advisor/Travel Demand Modeler.  As a subconsultant to PB Americas, Inc, Craig is providing technical assistance in Phase 2 of a study to develop a statewide TransCAD travel demand model for North Carolina.  Tasks include development of TransCAD model interface (GISDK), review of MPO models within the State to evaluate model attributes, development of network structure in TransCAD, development of SE data and TAZ structure in TransCAD, and assistance in technical review of model components.

BCDCOG On-Call Support Services

Charlotte NC.  Travel Demand Modeler. As a subconsultant to Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., Craig is assisting in providing model maintenance, staff training, network updates, air quality analysis, and alternatives testing.

Metrolina Model On-Call Support Services

Raleigh, NC.  Travel Demand Modeler.  While at Kimley-Horn and now with Clearbox Forecast Group, Craig provided staff and consultant training, TransCAD script (GISDK) development, model application, analysis, and post-processing.  As part of this contract, Craig has directed the development new TransCAD models for Fayetteville, Jacksonville, Hickory, Goldsboro, Greenville, Rocky Mount, and Roanoke Rapids.

North Carolina DOT On-Call Modeling

Raleigh, NC.  Travel Demand Modeler/Forecaster.  As a subconsultant to Atkins Global, Clearbox is providing planning-level traffic analysis and forecasting for over 275 miles of US 17 along with surrounding facilities.  The traffic analysis, which will utilize the North Carolina Statewide Model (under development), will support analysis of the economic impact to eastern North Carolina with the completion of US 17 as a four-lane facility.

US 17 Economic Impact Study

Raleigh/Creedmoor, NC.  Travel Demand Modeler/Forecaster.  Craig assisted Kimley-Horn in developing traffic forecasts for NC 50 and the surrounding study area from Creedmoor to I-540 in Raleigh.  Tasks included the evaluation of model zone and network structure in the study area, travel analysis of alternative land use scenarios utilizing the Triangle Regional Model, and preparation of benefits summaries demonstrating the effectiveness of each potential alternative.  

NC 50 Corridor Study

Piedmont-Triad, NC.  Project Analyst (2010).  Clearbox assisted Kimley-Horn and ETC Institute in designing and administering an external station cordon traveler surveys for the Piedmont Authority for Regional Transportation (PART).  Approximately twenty locations were surveyed at locations surrounding the Greensboro-Winston Salem-High Point-Burlington metropolitan area.  Craig was responsible for review of project planning documents, review of survey instruments and traffic control procedures, assistance with surveys in the field, and technical support of documentation and data analysis.

Triad External Origin-Destination Traveler Survey

Model Development Manager.   While at Kimley-Horn and then with Clearbox Forecast Group, Craig creating a new travel demand model for the analysis of transportation issues in the Town of Leesburg and the surrounding area.  The creation of a new local model provided the opportunity to incorporate the proper level of detail within the Town of Leesburg and to use refined land use data for the Town along with data from the regional MWCOG (Washington DC metro area) model assumptions that are appropriate to the Town of Leesburg.

Leesburg Travel Demand Model Development

Charleston, NC.  Travel Demand Modeler.  Charleston, SC.  As part of the Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester COG (BCDCOG) on-call modeling contract, Clearbox Forecast Group is working as a subconsultant to provide model support services for the new BCDCOG TransCAD model for the Charleston region. Project tasks include model development review, alternatives analysis, staff support, GISDK script development, and long-range transportation plan development support.
